Sadly our beautiful Ticket is no longer with us. His remaing back leg could no longer support him as he reached nearly 14 years. He has slept beside my bed all his life and we knew his time this year was limited. RIP my dear boy, dream of sheep and painfree times.
Thank you to all those people who have given our dogs such wonderful homes. We have a huge demand for our puppies and most pups are sold before they are born, it is difficult to discern between the half hearted and the committed and we do our best by our pups, they are our first concern. Rob and I are very passionate about the breed, we both strive to produce the best dogs we can, for temperament and soundness. For this reason we have imported outstanding bloodlines as well as similar type dogs from total outcross lines BUT maintaining the type and temperament in our breeding programme to reduce the incidence of genetic disease and to ensure our dogs are not inbred nor line bred too closely. As breeders BC’s need to move forward away from DNA lines of the past with genetic disease. Yes ,it is harder to produce the grand champion but so much easier to produce viable genetically sound dogs for the future. This challenge is something Rob and I are determined to put the time and money into, the breed comes first. That does not mean with throw out the good dogs that carry recessive genes, they are the backbone of all that is good in Border collies. We need to manage their breeding carefully and by careful selection in our breeding prorgamme it means we use but make a genuine attempt to move away without loosing these dogs quality in the breed; a step back but 3 steps forward for the breed.
Border collies are a breed with many attributes, first and foremost is temperament and hopefully our dogs have that number one, they can be companions, agility, obedience, fly ball, herding, working, dancing and show dogs. No one activity is more important than the next, it is an individual thing .. We strive to breed beautiful companion dogs above all else. We are very conscientious of breed standards and health issues, plus we show our dogs and have always been prepared to show our dogs against all in many different areas under local and international judges, but we work them with sheep as well.. they are dogs first and foremost, and what we decide to do with them is a human attribute not the dogs, they just want our love and affection. So we want great homes for our dogs, not winning accolades..though that is a bonus!!!!
We do not export to Asia so please don’t ask, we don’t wish to offend. No pups will be held without a deposit, that way we know you are really serious. Please if you have questions talk to us.
